A little help at home can make a big difference.
Life gets hard sometimes. Things pile up. And keeping on top of your home can start to feel like one thing too many. That's where we come in — not as carers, but as an extra pair of hands who genuinely don't mind getting stuck in.
Worth knowing…
Helping Hands is a cleaning and practical support service. We're not carers and we're not a care agency — but we do bring the same warmth, patience and no-judgement approach to everything we do.
Not a carer. Not a standard cleaner. Something in between.
Sometimes home life just gets on top of us. Whether it's health, age, a difficult patch, or simply life being a lot — keeping your home clean, tidy and manageable isn't always straightforward.
Helping Hands is our practical home support service. We roll our sleeves up and help you get things back to a place that feels safe, comfortable and liveable again.
There's no judgement here. We've seen it all, and we know that the state of a home doesn't reflect the person living in it. We're just here to help — calmly, respectfully and without making a big deal out of anything.
And once we're done, you'll know exactly what's been sorted and what the next steps are, if there are any.
So we’re super clear…
We are…
A cleaning and practical support service
Trained to work in sensitive situations
Patient, calm and non-judgemental
Able to support people going through a difficult time
Part of a specialist cleaning team
We’re not…
A care agency or carers
Trained to provide physical or personal care
Insured to carry out personal care tasks
A replacement for social services or medical support
For anyone who needs an extra pair of hands.
There's no one type of person who comes to us. Life is complicated, and sometimes things slip.
Older Adults
For those finding it harder to keep on top of things at home as independently as they once did.
People with health conditions
Managing a long-term condition or recovering from illness can mean home gets left behind. We can help get things back on track.
Families Supporting a Loved One
If you're worried about a family member's home environment and don't know where to start, we're used to this, we can help.
Anyone going trhough a rough patch
Grief, mental health, life being a lot and it happens to all of us. There's no shame in needing some help to get on top of things.
Practical, hands-on support. No task too small.
Every visit is different. We work around what you actually need, not a tick-box list. Here's an idea of what that might look like:
Simple. No pressure, no faff.
You don't need to have it all figured out before you contact us. That's what the first conversation is for
01
Get in touch (here)
Drop us a message or give us a call. Just tell us roughly what's going on, no need for details at this stage.
02
We'll talk it through
We'll have a chat, ask a few questions and get a clear picture of what kind of support would actually help.
03
We come to you
We'll arrange a visit, take a look at what needs doing and agree on the right approach with you.
04
We get it sorted
We do the work, calmly, respectfully and properly. And we'll always leave things better than we found them.
"The state of your home doesn't say anything about who you are. Life gets complicated. We're just here to help get things back to a place that feels manageable again."

No. And this is important. We're a cleaning and practical home support service, not a care agency. We can't provide personal care, physical assistance or medical support. What we can do is help get someone's home environment into a safe, comfortable and manageable place and we do it with a lot of warmth and patience.
-
Absolutely. That's often exactly when people come to us. We're part of a specialist cleaning team and we've worked in all kinds of situations and nothing phases us. There's no judgement here, ever. Just get in touch and we'll talk it through.
-
Both. Some people just need a one-off session to get things back under control. Others prefer regular visits to help keep things ticking over. We'll figure out what makes sense for your situation.
-
It depends on what's involved, so we don't publish a fixed price list. The best thing to do is get in touch and we'll give you a clear, honest quote once we understand what you need. No hidden costs, no surprises.
-
Completely fine! We're used to it. Whether you're a family member, a social worker, a neighbour or a professional, just get in touch and we'll work out the best next step from there.
